Restore Health & Home After Near-Death Covid Fight
Gip has always been a strong and healthy hard working husband and father but in August of 2021 he became very sick and went without eating & drinking for days. With his health deteriorating rapidly, an ambulance transported him to the ARMC Emergency Room. He was quickly diagnosed with Covid and admitted to the Covid Care Unit. In the middle of the night on day 12 he got up to use the bathroom and took off his oxygen but in his confused state forgot to put it back on and returned to bed without it. When the nurses came in to check on Gip they determined that he had coded. It was only by the grace of God and an excellent team of doctors and nurses that Gip was able to avoid death. He was then moved to the Critical Care Unit where he stayed for the biggest portion of his 60 days in the hospital. This was to be only the 1st of 3 near life-ending events that Gip would experience during his 2 month stay. They said Gip was the sickest patient they had seen with covid that had survived.
Gip is not a man who would ask anyone for anything. He has always worked hard & provided for his family & his Church. He is dedicated to whatever he’s doing whether it be work, family, friends, Bible study, Celebrate Recovery, Driving the Church Bus…whatever Gip does Gip does it by giving 110%.
