From Here To Eternity

***The Rapture has taken all Christians to Heaven
***The Tribulation period has painfully killed over 75% of the earth’s population.
***The earth has been cleared of non-believers to prepare for The Millennium.
***The Millenium has reached its end and it is time for The Great White Throne Judgement and then The New Heaven And New Earth will be created.

What is the great white throne judgment?

***The Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11–15). This final judgment of unbelievers for their sins occurs at the end of the Millennium, before the creation of the new heaven and earth. At this judgment, unbelievers from all the ages are judged for their sins and consigned to the lake of fire.

After these events, God will create a new heaven and a new earth, where He will dwell with His people for eternity (Revelation 21:1-4). This marks the beginning of the eternal state, where there will be no more sin, suffering, or death (Revelation 21:4).

What are the new heaven and the new earth?

***The new earth will be free from sin, evil, sickness, suffering, and death. It will be earth as God originally intended it to be, prior to the curse of sin. It will be Eden restored.
***A major feature of the new earth will be the New Jerusalem. John calls it “the Holy City . . . coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband” (Revelation 21:2). This glorious city, with its streets of gold and pearly gates, is situated on a new, glorious earth.

In the new heaven and new earth, Scripture says, there are seven things notable for their absence—seven things that are “no more”:
• no more sea (Revelation 21:1)
• no more death (Revelation 21:4)
• no more mourning (Revelation 21:4)
• no more weeping (Revelation 21:4)
• no more pain (Revelation 21:4)
• no more curse (Revelation 22:3)
• no more night (Revelation 22:5)

The creation of the new heaven and new earth brings the promise that God “will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 21:4). This event comes after the tribulation, after the Lord’s second coming, after the millennial kingdom, after the final rebellion, after the final judgment of Satan, and after the great white throne judgment. The brief description of the new heaven and new earth is the last glimpse into eternity that the Bible gives.

In the end, the key is that God will make everything beautiful in His time. Whatever He has planned for us, it will be for the best. Eye has not seen nor ear heard the wonderful things that God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9).

And by the way, The New Heaven will be big enough! The New Jerusalem will be fantastically huge. John records that the city is nearly 1,400 miles long, and it is as wide and as high as it is long—the New Jerusalem being equal in length, width, and depth.

The Tribulation period has come to an end.
The earth has been cleared of non-believers to prepare for The Millennium.

Where do you go when you die?
***The Bible is absolutely clear that there are only two options for where you go when you die: heaven or hell
What is the difference between Sheol, Hades, Hell, the lake of fire, Paradise, and Abraham’s bosom?
***Sheol (Old Testament) / Hades (New Testament) simply means “the place of the dead”. Abraham’s bosom is obviously a place of peace, rest, and joy after death—in other words, paradise.
***The souls of the righteous, at death, go directly into the presence of God—the part of Sheol called “heaven,” “paradise,” or “Abraham’s bosom” (Luke 23:432 Corinthians 5:8Philippians 1:23).

What is the millennial kingdom, and should it be understood literally …
This is the time when the curse placed on man, beast, and the earth in The Garden Of Eden will be lifted.
This establishes Jerusalem as the political center of the world.
This is a time of peace and rest from Israel’s enemies.
This is a fulfillment of Covenants God made with Israel.
*** Abrahamic covenant promised Israel a land, a posterity and ruler, and a spiritual blessing.
***The Palestinian covenant promised Israel a restoration to the land and occupation of the land.
***The Davidic covenant promised Israel a king from David’s line who would rule forever.

According to the premillennial viewpoint, which is associated with the idea of a rapture, non-believers are removed before the millennium begins. This is because Christ’s Second Coming, which precedes the millennium, is an event of judgment for the unsaved. This is when the “sheep and goats” judgment occurs, separating believers from non-believers. Non-believers are then cast into “eternal punishment,” while believers enter the millennial kingdom.

Matthew 24:40-42
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Only believers initially populate the Earth during Christ’s 1,000-year reign. While mortals are born during this time, Revelation 20 states that a final rebellion will occur at the end of the 1,000 years, consisting of those who reject Christ during that period.

Special Note: Revelation 22:19 says, “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (KJV). This verse is usually involved in the debate concerning eternal security. Does Revelation 22:19 mean that, after a person’s name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, it can at some time in the future be erased? In other words, can a Christian lose his salvation? The answer is NO!!!

What Will Life Be Like During The Millenium?
1. Christ will rule with perfect justice and righteousness, establishing a theocratic government with Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords (Isaiah 9:6-7).

2. The curse on the earth will be lifted, leading to unparalleled peace and prosperity (Isaiah 11:6-9).

3. Nations will live in harmony, and wars will cease as swords will be turned into plowshares, eliminating military conflicts (Micah 4:3). This peace will stem from Christ’s righteous rule.

4. Additionally, the natural world will be restored to a state of harmony and abundance. Animals will live peacefully together, and the environment will be free from the corruption it currently suffers (Romans 8:19-22; Isaiah 11:6-9). The land itself will also be restored and will flourish, producing abundant harvests (Amos 9:13; Ezekiel 36:35).

5. Human lifespans will dramatically increase, with people living for hundreds of years, much like before the flood (Isaiah 65:20), marking a time of physical well-being and health.

6. Jerusalem will become the center of worship and government during the Millennium, with nations coming to Jerusalem to worship the King and learn His ways (Zechariah 14:16-17; Isaiah 2:2-4).

7. Moreover, Satan will be bound in the Abyss, unable to deceive the nations (Revelation 20:1-3), contributing to the peace and righteousness that characterize this period. This era, as depicted in Scripture, represents a time of profound transformation and fulfillment of God’s promises, offering believers a vision of a future marked by divine justice, peace, and prosperity.

At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be released for a short time to deceive the nations once more (Revelation 20:7-10). This period will culminate in the Battle of Gog and Magog, where Satan will gather nations from the four corners of the earth to wage war against the saints and the beloved city. This final rebellion will be swiftly crushed by God, and fire will come down from heaven to devour the enemies. Satan will then be cast into the lake of fire forever (Revelation 20:10).

What are all the different judgments in the Bible?
***The judgment of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:14–24). God banished the first couple from the Garden of Eden for violating His clear command not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This judgment affected all of creation (Genesis 3:17–18; Romans 8:20–22).
***The judgment of the antediluvian world (Genesis 7:17–24). God sent a worldwide flood in judgment of mankind’s sin in Noah’s time. The flood destroyed all of mankind and the animal world, except for Noah and his family, whose faith led them to obey God’s command to build the ark.
***The judgment at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:5–9). Noah’s post-flood descendants remained in one location in defiance of God’s command, so God confused their language, causing them to disperse over the earth.
***The judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19). God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for the rampant wickedness that was taking place in those cities (Genesis 18:20; Ezekiel 16:49-50; Jude 1:7).
***The judgment of Egypt and their gods (Exodus 7—12). The ten plagues against Egypt at the time of the exodus were “mighty acts of judgment” (Exodus 7:4) against a stubborn, cruel king and an idolatrous people and their gods (Exodus 12:12).
***The judgment of believers’ sins (Isaiah 53:4–8). Jesus took this judgment upon Himself by His crucifixion and death. “He suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone” (Hebrews 2:9). Because our sin was judged at the cross, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). It was also at the cross that God pronounced judgment on the unbelieving world and on the enemy of our souls, Satan. As Jesus said shortly before His arrest, “Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out” (John 12:31).

What is the judgment seat of Christ?
***The judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10). Resurrected (and raptured) believers in heaven will be judged for their works. Sin is not in view at this judgment, as that was paid for by Christ, but only faithfulness in Christian service. Selfish works or those done with wrong motives will be burned up (the “wood, hay, and stubble” of 1 Corinthians 3:12). Works of lasting value to the Lord will survive (the “gold, silver, and precious stones”). Rewards, which the Bible calls “crowns” (Revelation 3:11) will be given by the One who is “not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him” (Hebrews 6:10).
***The judgment of the nations (Matthew 25:31–46). After the tribulation, the Lord Jesus will sit in judgment over the Gentile nations. They will be judged according to their treatment of Israel during the tribulation. This judgment is also called the judgment of the sheep and the goats because of the imagery Jesus uses in the Olivet Discourse. Those who showed faith in God by treating Israel favorably (giving them aid and comfort during the tribulation) are the “sheep” who will enter into the Millennial Kingdom. Those who followed the Antichrist’s lead and persecuted Israel are the “goats” who will be consigned to hell.
What does it mean that we will judge angels
***The judgment of angels (1 Corinthians 6:2–3). Paul says that Christians will judge angels. We aren’t exactly sure what this means, but the angels facing judgment would have to be the fallen angels. It seems that Satan’s hordes of demons will be judged by the redeemed ones of the Lamb. Some of these demons are already imprisoned in darkness and awaiting judgment, according to Jude 1:6, due to their leaving their proper dwelling place.

The Tribulation period has come to an end.
God has released His wrath on non-believers and on Israel in particular.
The earth is cleared of non-believers to prepare for The Millennium.
Jesus Christ returns to earth with the armies of heaven to fight the remaining evil forces.

The battle of Armageddon
The battle of Armageddon will be fought across the entire earth, though centered on Israel, with potentially 200 million troops gathered at the strategic location of Armageddon, the Valley of Megiddo, in northern Israel. Led by Jesus Christ, the heavenly armies will defeat the wicked forces gathered to oppose God. The battle will be the largest in human history, with widespread destruction and slaughter, resulting in a massive amount of blood covering the land.

Jesus will defeat the forces of evil with a two-edged sword coming out of His mouth.
God will directly intervene in the battle, using powerful elements like hail, earthquake, fire, and sulfur to defeat the enemies.

Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives from whence He ascended.
Jesus will cast the Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire.
Jesus will bind Satan in The Bottomless Pit until the end of The Millennium.
Jesus will set up His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years.

Tribulation Judgments…God’s wrath poured out on man…

What are the seven seals of Revelation?
1. Antichrist will come under the pretense of bringing peace to the world.
2. Great warfare.
3. Deadly famine.
4. One fourth of the earth’s population is killed by sword, famine, plague, wild beasts.
5. Earthquake causes massive upheaval and devastation. Unusual astronomical phenomena: the sun turns black, moon turns blood-red, heavens recede, every mountain and island removed from its place.

There is silence in heaven for half an hour.
1. The silence in heaven for the space of half an hour is a sign of deep respect and awe in the presence of the Judge of all the earth. Just as earthly courtrooms demand silence when the judge is presiding, so does the heavenly courtroom.
2. The half-hour silence in heaven is the result of somber reflection on what has just been revealed. When Jesus Christ breaks the seventh seal, the scroll of God’s judgment is fully revealed for the first time. Now all heaven can see God’s plan to judge the wickedness of the earth, destroy the kingdom of the beast, and set things right. All heaven remains silent as God’s righteousness is on display.
3. The silence in heaven is due to the severity of the actions the Lord God is about to take. With the scroll fully open, heaven can now see the trumpet judgments. These judgments are more terrible than anything the world will have ever seen. The final catastrophes are about to befall the earth, and silence and stillness fill the time of tense expectation.

What are the seven trumpets of Revelation?
1. Hail and fire mixed with blood. One third of the world’s trees are burned up and all the grass is consumed.
2. Huge mountain, all ablaze, thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turns to blood, a third of the ships sink, and a third of ocean life dies
3. Freshwater lakes and rivers damaged by a great star, blazing like a torch, falls from the sky. A third of the water supply ruined and many people die.
4. A third of the sun, cmoon, and stars turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.
5. Special warning comes from an eagle flying through the air that cries out with a loud voice, saying, “Woe! Woe! Woe!”
6. Terrifying plague of demonic locusts attack and torture the unsaved for five months whose agony is so great that they will wish to die, but death will elude them. The locusts are not allowed to kill anyone, only to torture them.

What are the seven bowls/vials of Revelation?
These will be the most severe judgments the world has ever seen.
1. Ugly, festering sores break out on the people who had the mark of the beast.
2. Ocean turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea dies. A third of the sea life had already perished earlier and now the rest of the sea life is gone. The oceans are dead.
3. Rivers and freshwater springs turn into blood and all life dies.
4. Sun scorches people with fire and they are seared by the intense heat.
5. The pain and suffering of the wicked intensifies so that people gnaw their tongues in agony.
6. Euphrates River dries up in preparation for the kings of the East to make their way to their own destruction when they gather for the final battle of Armageddon on the Day of the Lord.
7. A loud voice in heaven says, “It is done!” and great flashes of lightning occur as an earthquake so severe that none like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth and so tremendous that the cities of the world collapse, islands are flooded, and mountains disappear. Giant hailstones weighing a hundred pounds fall on the people who cry out and curse God because the plague was is terrible.
8. Jesus Christ then returns in glory to defeat the armies of the Antichrist at Armageddon and to set up His kingdom on earth.

What is the battle of Armageddon?
Demonic influences will cause the kings of the earth to gather their armies for an all-out assault on Jerusalem. The Antichrist will be leading the charge.

Jesus Christ will return to earth with the armies of heaven and His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives where He will defeat the forces of evil with a sharp sword from His mouth.

Jesus will cast the Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire, bind Satan, and set up His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years.
