If you want to build your faith in God, the only way to do it is by hearing His Word. God’s Word has the power to go forth and accomplish His purposes in your life. It builds faith that gives life to your dreams, gives strength to your body, and builds a hedge of protection that brings you peace of mind. God’s Word gives you faith that as you confront what look like mountains of impossibility, whether it’s a financial or spiritual or physical impossibility, you can say to that mountain,“Be removed and cast into the midst of the sea.” It gives you strength to take the next step when you think the hill is too hard to climb. His Word builds the kind of faith that says,“I may be pressed on every side, but if God is for me, who can be against me?”
That kind of faith comes when you hear the Word of God and receive it into your heart. Hearing the Word of God gives you the kind of faith to look at the world, the flesh and the devil today and declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ!

During these times of pestilence and disease, if you cannot attend your usual home church this coming Sunday, please use one of our Sunday Worship Service Plans to conduct and enjoy a service on your own. These Worship Service Plans are useful for anyone anywhere, whether individuals, shut-ins, your family gathered in the den, a nursing facility of sick & elderly, you and your neighbors sitting in the backyard, or any group of believers who share a need to gather and praise and worship The Lord God.
FaithByTheWord was created as a means to encourage everyone to get into The Word. The Word is the means by which we are able to draw closer to The Lord so we can seek his mercy, love, and grace in times of sickness, sadness, or sorrow. It is through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we can know we have a home in Heaven someday and share in His love, shelter, and protection while we live in this world.
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written because its author is the Lord God. Although it was penned by men, the Holy Spirit inspired every word He wanted them to record. The Scriptures contain the Lord’s revelation of Himself and His plan of redemption. Among the many topics it covers are: the creation of the world; the fall of man; the presence, power, and penalty of sin; the provision of a Savior; the final judgment; and the eternal kingdom. The Bible also answers questions about humanity’s value, wise living, and existence after death.
All sections of God’s Word are valuable and interconnected. For example, the Gospels tell about the Messiah, whose coming was predicted in the Old Testament. He is called “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29), and His death is the fulfillment of the sacrificial system in Leviticus. What’s more, the gospel of salvation by grace through faith is first seen in the story of Abraham, whose belief was credited as righteousness (Gen. 15:6).
Scripture was given to us so we might know the Father, be reconciled to Him through His Son, and bring glory to His name. Therefore, we should make it a goal to become familiar His precious Word.
Because this site was designed to be a learning resource for anyone wanting to grow in The Word, study The Word, share The Word, or simply understand what it means to be a Christian and how to become one, it is expected to attract knowledge seekers from new believers to seasoned and mature believers, including Pastors and Sunday School teachers.
