Welcome To FaithByTheWord Ministries

Pastor Dave Winstead
Executive Director

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17

As Christ’s followers, we have the Holy Spirit residing within us, which means we have His power to preach The Word in all of the world. We can’t save anyone, but it’s our responsibility to tell people about the God who can. Romans 10:14 asks “How will they believe unless they hear?”.This is what we do at FaithByTheWord Ministries!

I am Pastor Dave Winstead, Executive Director and Founder of FaithByTheWord Ministries, a Christian Not-For-Profit 501(c)3 Corporation founded and headquartered in Burlington, NC USA.   We have by the grace of God, since 2021, established a worldwide ministry with over 107,000 followers in 191 countries and are

1. Training 4000 Pastors and Spiritual Leaders per year.
2. Planting 3 churches per week.
3. Donating 2,750 bibles per year.
4. Leading 1,000,000 souls to Christ per year.

FaithByTheWord was founded as a means to encourage everyone to get into The Word. The Word is the means through which we are able to draw closer to The Lord so we can seek his mercy, love, and grace in times of sickness, sadness, or sorrow. It is through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ that we can know we have a home in Heaven someday and share in His love, shelter, and protection while we live in this world.

A major focus of our Word Missions today is the planting of churches and the training of pastors for the remote villages of East Africa.

Teaching & Spreading The Word Of God Around The World

  • FaithByTheWord Ministries, in its efforts to to share The Gospel throughout the world, has created the Theological Bible Studies Institute. At FaithByTheWord we have been focused on training pastors in the rural villages of East Africa and within the first 6 months of 2026 we will be moving into India. This ministry has been so well received that we can hardly keep up with the requests for more and more classes and seminars.
  • With the completion of the above class on Sound Doctrine & Ministry Skills on December 28, 2023, The Theological Bible Studies Institute of FaithByTheWord Ministries has graduated over 12,000 students in Africa since our first class in January 2022. As of 2026 our target is to graduate 8000 students each year.
  • The main purpose of the institute is to train pastors who will be able to train other pastors who will be able to train others. If we train 10 who train 10 who train 10 who train 10 we will have trained 10,000 pastors – enough to plant in all 2,500 remote villages of East Africa and all 10,000 remotes villages of India!!! Our plan is to have a trained pastor in all 2500 remote villages in East Africa by 2027.
  • To assist anyone wishing to study The Word Of God, FaithByTheWord has launched AboutTheWord.org.
  • Our mission also includes making sure everyone has access to The Word Of God anytime and anywhere they desire regardless of whether they can read or not. To meet this objective we partner with Project Bible Runners and Faith Comes By Hearing – two Godly blessed ministries that specialize in delivering The Word Of God in unique and powerful ways.

Ministering To The Remote Areas Of The World

  • The average East African lives on $2 a day.
  • In East Africa, 75% of the population is under age 25 and by 2050 one-third of the world’s youth will live there.
  • East Africa is home to many of the world’s fastest growing cities and by 2100 the three largest cities on earth will be there.
  • East Africa has the most refugees and internationally displaced peoples in the world with over 22 million Africans having fled their homes due to violence, natural disaster, and persecution.
  • More than 1 in 3 adults cannot read. 55.1 per cent of all women are illiterate compared to 36.5 per cent of men. 22% of primary aged children are not in school.
  • The daily diet consists of lots of fish. Native to the tropical rivers and lakes of Africa, the Nile perch is the continent’s largest freshwater fish. Capable of reaching a maximum length of six feet, these fish typically range from two and a half to three and a half feet and may be caught from the bank of a river with hook and bait.
  • The African family consists of a man, a wife (or wives), and children. The family could also consist of adopted people from other families. Relatives from a family of the same descent or lineage form a kinship group. Various African families form the kinship system. It is not unusual for a family of 15 to sleep in the same grass hut.
  • More Christians live in East Africa than any other region and by 2060 forty percent of all Christians in the world are expected to live there!
  • Only 1 in every 300 Christians owns a Bible due to the extreme cost to ship them. A case of 24 Bibles costs $2,000 to ship to a remote village. FaithByTheWord has shipped thousands of Bibles to East Africa.

Planting Churches In Remote Villages Around The World

The Great Commandment and The Great Commission go hand in hand. These two are inextricably linked; they are integral parts of the body of Christ and disciple making.

The Great Commandment fuels the Great Commission, as our love for the Lord leads us to love our neighbor. God’s love transforms us and compels us to love others, on mission together, with the gospel above all.

As followers of Christ, we’re all called to go. “Go” is a simple verb that requires action; our action, our movement and our motivation.

FaithByTheWord’s Assembly Of Churches For Christ is an assembly of churches – many planted by FaithByTheWord Ministries International – who share the same doctrinal beliefs and the same heart for serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as evangelical missions.

Reaching Out To The Homeless, Addicted, Incarcerated, and Street Gangs Of The World

Our mission at FaithByTheWord’s New Mercy And Grace outreach is to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus. We want to show the love of Jesus Christ. We want to help the homeless and help them get into programs they may otherwise not know how to apply for. The programs include food stamps and disability. We want to help people in addiction find rehab programs to get clean and understand there is a better life outside of addiction. We would like to help people find a home to get off the streets. We have a clothing pantry, a food program, and a furniture program, to help furnish their homes. Our center will feed the homeless everyday Monday-Friday with a hot meal. On Fridays. We would like to give them a lunch bag of food to last through the weekend. We have a library where anyone can come in and sit to read books and TV to watch. We also have a Chapel to pray and to be prayed with. If anyone is trying to reunite with family we would love to assist in helping with that. We will be a white flag surrender in the winter when temperatures are 32 degrees or below, we will shelter people from the cold and feed them. We will have a small post office for our homeless friends to be able to receive mail. We will help individuals who need to do some type of community service hours to complete their hours in a great place learning about homelessness and how to get on the road that leads to Jesus Christ.

Reaching Out To The Orphans And Widows Of The World

Approximately 32 percent of orphans in Africa have had a parent or parents die from AIDS. Many of these children suffer from the disease as well. AIDS continues to be a major epidemic in Africa, and the number of those affected continues to rise. Thousands of African children were orphaned by losing parents to Ebola.

Kids in Africa work on plantations, in mines, quarries or factories. Often they are forced to prostitute themselves. Most child laborers are exploited and have no chance of attending school because they have neither the time nor the strength to learn.

Widows, often overlooked in society, play a significant role in our communities. Understanding their experiences and challenges is crucial to providing the support they need. So, what is a widow? A widow is a woman whose spouse has passed away, leaving her to navigate life without the companionship and support of her partner.

Losing a spouse can be an incredibly traumatic event, resulting in emotional and psychological distress for widows. The grief and loneliness that accompany the loss of a partner can be overwhelming, leaving widows feeling isolated and vulnerable. Moreover, the emotional impact of widowhood can be long-lasting, with the mourning process often lasting far beyond the initial stages of bereavement. It is essential to recognize and empathize with the unique struggles faced by widows in order to provide them with the care and support they deserve.

FaithByTheWord’s New Mercy And Grace outreach includes support programs for the unfortunate wherever they may be.

Reaching Out To The Shut-Ins, Sick, And Elderly Of The World

A needy international service of FaithByTheWord’s New Mercy And Grace outreach is to express the love of God to our brothers and sisters in need of medical care, wherever they may be, whether here in the U.S. or in one of the remote african villages where we plant churches, by raising funds to cover the cost of their medicine, hospital, and physician expenses that can make it possible for them to resume a responsible and productive position in their community. A dire need is to provide dentures, especially for seniors, that will enable them to eat good healthy food and maintain their diet. There are many many elderly adults in nursing homes that cannot stay healthy because they cannot eat healthy without dentures. If they lose or break their dentures, Medicaid will only replace them once every five years. Medicare does not include any benefits to help.

Another of FaithByTheWord’s New Mercy And Grace outreach is to express the love of God to our seniors in need of a little love and compassion as we help match them up with resources they might require but don’t know where or how to find them nor have anyone to help them.
