Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven will answer and clarify the most important questions Christians have about their future eternal home. This series provides answers to questions about the nature of heaven, the kinds of bodies we’ll have in heaven, why heaven will never be boring, why infants and small children will go to heaven, and the dwelling place God is preparing for Christians in heaven. Answers to those questions and more – 11 critical issues in all – are revealed.
Heaven – Promises From God
1. He will always love us
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
2. He will forgive us if we only have faith in Him
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
3. He has a simple plan of salvation for going to heaven
A – Admit that you are a sinner and that you want to turn from your sin. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Sin separates us from God and causes us to die. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life…”
B – Believe that God loves you and that Jesus died for you to pay for your sin. Romans 5:8“ But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Jesus took your judgment and made it possible for you to be forgiven. By rising from the dead, Jesus made it possible for you to have a new life.
C – Commit your life to Jesus and turn away from your sin. Just as you change directions when you realize you are walking the wrong way, you must repent, and turn away from your sin. Romans 10:9 “That if you Confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” You must talk to God through prayer and tell Him your heart’s desire. You can repeat this simple prayer from your heart.
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sins, and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.”
4. We are secure in Jesus’ hands
Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
5. He will never desert us
Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6. He has prepared a home in Heaven for us
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
7. There is only one way to Heaven
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
