Spiritual Truth For Today (2024)

12/31/2024The promises of God’s love and forgiveness are as real, as sure, as positive, as human words can make them. But, like describing the ocean, its total beauty cannot be understood until it is actually seen. It is the same with God’s love. Until you actually possess true peace with God, no one can describe its wonders to you.
Billy Graham
12/30/2024God caused the Bible to be written for the express purpose of revealing to us God’s plan for His redemption. God caused the Book to be written that He might make His everlasting laws clear to His children, and that they might have His great wisdom to guide them, and His great love to comfort them as they make their way through life. For without the Bible this world would indeed be a dark and frightening place, without signpost or beacon. The Bible easily qualifies as the only book in which God’s revelation is contained.
Billy Graham
12/29/2024Anything that enters our life—whether it’s blessing or trial—comes because the Lord has a use for it in His plan, which is always for our good.
Charles Stanley
12/28/2024Scripture is a treasure trove of God’s thoughts. Spend time there every day – starting today – mining it for new truths and insights.
Charles Stanley
12/27/2024The debate over worshiping The Lord goes on. Should we sing this way or that way, clap or not, lift our hands or not? Should we use a band like we’re at a concert? Or, should we sit in silent reflection? Do we really think that God prefers one over the other? I think what He said to Samuel still rings true today: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). Regardless of the style or quality of the music, regardless of the enthusiasm, regardless of the appearance, you might not have God’s presence. It’s only when you have the heart of worship that you have the privilege of being in His presence.
John Hagee
12/26/2024Each person’s eternity is just a breath away, and no one is guaranteed tomorrow. Live each day with the urgency to share Jesus as if it were your last opportunity.
Adrian Rogers
12/25/2024Christmas is the day that holds all time together.
Alexander Smith
12/24/2024Christmas is not a myth, not a tradition, not a dream. It is a glorious reality. It is a time of joy. Bethlehem’s manger crib became the link that bound a lost world to a loving God. From that manger came a Man who not only taught us a new way of life, but brought us into a new relationship with our Creator. Christmas means that God is interested in the affairs of people, that God loves us so much that He was willing to give His Son.
Billy Graham
12/23/2024No man is ever ready to live until he is no longer afraid to die.
Adrian Rogers
12/22/2024If you’re in a situation and God doesn’t deliver you it’s not because He can’t. If God is not working according to what you can see, it doesn’t mean God is not working. And if evil seems to succeed, the success of evil is only temporary. When you hit a crisis, please remember these things: Don’t demand to understand; you’ll never figure it out. Remember the resource of prayer. Set your eyes on God, rest in His love, and expect God to move in His own time and in His own way. He will do it. He’s the Christ of every crisis.
Adrian Rogers
12/21/2024The most meaningful gifts we give this Christmas won’t be wrapped in shiny paper with a perfectly tied bow—they’ll be wrapped in tender expressions of Christ’s mercy and love.
Chuck Swindoll
12/20/2024To have a God that I can worship, He must be a God greater than my mentality. If I could understand God, God would be no bigger than my intellect, which is far too small a god for me to worship. If we could understand God, we wouldn’t need God, but we don’t have to understand Him to know Him.
Adrian Rogers
12/19/2024Without Jesus, the Old Testament is a list of unexplained ceremonies that won’t make sense.
Adrian Rogers
12/18/2024Most Christians are very familiar with the gospel. However, we’re often still reluctant to share our faith. Perhaps fear of negative reactions or possible questions can keep us silent. What if we don’t have the answers or end up looking like a fool? It can feel intimidating. But remember, God has given us the most important news in the world. We can’t let fear or ignorance keep us from sharing the only message that can change a person’s eternal destiny.
Charles Stanley
12/17/2024Throughout human history, God has spoken to mankind in various ways. His prophets and apostles were moved by the Holy Spirit to proclaim and write His words, but His ultimate expression came through the birth of His Son Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, the Lord still communicates to every Christian who listens with an open and receptive heart.
Charles Stanley
12/16/2024Scripture teaches that many Christians suffer so that they may fellowship with others who are in affliction. Only those who have known sorrow and suffering can have fellowship with those in affliction.
Billy Graham
12/15/2024Let’s make Christmas one long, extended gift of ourselves to others—just like God’s great gift of love to us. Unselfishly. Without announcement. Or obligation. Or reservation. Or hesitation.
Chuck Swindoll
12/14/2024We’re not responsible for the harvest, only for the sowing and watering. Perhaps today the Lord will cause your path to cross with someone needing a word of encouragement, allowing you to initiate a Gospel conversation and express your faith.
David Jeremiah
12/13/2024He that cannot forgive others, breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass.
George Herbert
12/12/2024There are so many who say, “I’m a believer,” but they are not saved. You know the plan, but you don’t know the Man. You’ve seen what God has done, but there has never been a change of heart. You say, “Well, doesn’t the Bible say, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31)?” Yes, it does. The Bible also says, “Even the demons believe—and tremble!” (James 2:19). There’s a superficial faith of false religion; the kind of faith that never really comes and bows the knee to Jesus Christ, never makes Jesus Christ Lord.
Adrian Rogers
12/11/2024A teardrop on earth summons the King of Heaven. Rather than being ashamed or disappointed, the Lord takes note of our inner friction when hard times are oiled by tears. He turns these situations into moments of tenderness; He never forgets those crises in our lives where tears were shed.
Chuck Swindoll
12/10/2024Those who have never rebelled against God or at some point in their lives shaken their fists in the face of heaven, have never encountered God at all.
Catherine Marshall
12/9/2024Did you know you can’t lie to God? He knows your heart. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” There is the penetrating power of the Word of God. He knows when you’re lying; He can tell when you’re faking it.
Adrian Rogers
12/8/2024When Christ came to earth, His goal was to bring us peace by reconciling us to the Father. His death on the cross paid our sin debt in full, and our relationship with God is restored. Now Jesus offers us divine peace—an inner serenity that fills our heart and mind no matter what is going on in our circumstances.
Charles Stanley
12/7/2024We sometimes try to put an overly positive spin on difficult situations, focusing on the good God brings from them without acknowledging the emotional struggle. Let’s take care not to redefine a wrong as being good simply because God redeemed it: we can look for Him to bring good from it while still recognizing the pain wrongdoing causes. Both are true.
Kirsten Holmberg
12/6/2024Let us face this fact: We came into the world with nothing, and we will leave it with nothing. Where do we get the notion that man’s idea of success and God’s are the same? You have written a book; you are a clever manager and promoter; you are a talented artist; you are independently rich; you have achieved fame and fortune. Without the gifts of intelligence, imagination, personality, and physical energy—which are all endowed by God—where would you be? Are we not born poor? Do we not die poor? And would we not be poor indeed without God’s infinite mercy and love?
Billy Graham
12/5/2024God specializes in redeeming the worst of us. He tugs at our hearts and speaks into our guilt-drenched lives. Maybe it’s time we repent of our sins and come to Jesus.
Kenneth Petersen
12/4/2024Don’t get the idea that the will of God is something you have to do; God’s not going to force it on you. The will of God is something you get to do. When you learn to obey, you will learn the joy people talk about in the Christian life.
Adrian Rogers
12/3/2024When we face all sorts of trouble, we can consider it nothing but joy. These tests of faith lead to endurance, maturity, and wisdom – all vital to this Christian journey. When we consider the doors that He has opened, His protection when we were unaware, the profound peace that fills us in darkest times – we can celebrate. Joy is not in what surrounds us; it is in the One Who watches over us.
John Hagee
12/2/2024When you read, don’t read merely to get facts; read to get truth. You’ve only got one life. Do you want to live and die without learning the truth? To know truth is to know God. All truth is God’s truth. The devil doesn’t have any truth; he is the source of deception.
Adrian Rogers
12/1/2024You may have cursed Him, you may have mocked Him, you may have ignored Him, but one day I can promise you on the authority of the Word of God that you are going to meet Jesus Christ. He cannot be deceived. He cannot be discredited. He cannot be disputed. His voice is like the sound of many waters. When He speaks, it’s like a hundred cascading waterfalls. Can you imagine somebody standing and arguing with Niagara Falls?
Adrian Rogers
11/30/2024We all need to improve the craft of cultivating our friendships. To whom can you be friendly today? But remember, there’s also a divine Friend who sticks closer than a brother! When you feel no one cares about you, remember God loved you before you were born!
David Jeremiah
11/29/2024God’s love for us is unchanging and not dependent on our actions. How encouraging to know that God’s love for us remains the same, even when we make a mistake or a wrong decision—for He never does. We can trust Him during life’s battles.
David Jeremiah
11/28/2024God wants to extend mercy. God would much rather forgive sin than punish sin. Do you believe that? God doesn’t hold a grudge. God wants to forgive sin. But God cannot put away our sin by forgiving it unless we put it away by forsaking it.
Adrian Rogers
11/27/2024IT’S ALMOST THANKSGIVING . . . MY FAVORITE. When it comes to holidays, this one tops ’em all, in my opinion. I prefer it because it is so healthy, so encouraging, so valuable . . . and so understated. I prefer it because there are no jingles to sing, commercials to endure, gifts to buy, places to go, or meetings to attend—just be thankful. Just look up, look around, look within, and say, “Thank you, Lord.”
Charles Stanley
11/26/2024If you’re a Christian, Jesus, who is alive, lives in you. If we could only get that in our hearts! We’re not just talking about someday; Jesus is alive and well now in you.
Adrian Rogers
11/25/2024Those who have never rebelled against God or at some point in their lives shaken their fists in the face of heaven, have never encountered God at all.
Catherine Marshall
11/24/2024A person who is hiding sin from God is always wondering, “Do they know this? Have they heard that? Will I be discovered here?” That is a life of fear and anxiety. Peace and great adventure are ahead when you can wake up and say, “There’s nothing between my soul and the Savior. Lord, I am Your servant. I am Your slave.
Adrian Rogers
11/23/2024Our situation might seem bleak, yet Jesus is with us now, and He’s guaranteed our glorious future. Christ, who walked out of His tomb, will return to raise His followers to live with Him. As we look forward to this new year, may we rejoice!
Mike Wittmer
11/22/2024it is virtually impossible to spoil a baby the first year of his or her life. You can’t give one too much love. Now you can spoil kids, but it is virtually impossible to spoil a baby the first year of its life. All of the love, all of the attention, all of the hugging, all of the kissing, all of the coddling you want to do, just do it. Correspondingly, it is virtually impossible to spoil newborn Christians. Love them, encourage them, build them up in the faith. They need to be loved. They need to be included.
Adrian Rogers
11/21/2024What God has written he has written not for our opinion but for our obedience.
John Blanchard
11/20/2024Jesus Christ is not up in Heaven peering through the clouds. Jesus Christ is here. He has not left us alone; He is here with us always.
Adrian Rogers
11/19/2024Salvation is not getting Man out of Earth into Heaven; it is getting God out of Heaven into Man.
Adrian Rogers
11/18/2024God may keep you in the dark so that you’ll keep your eyes on Him. Aren’t you glad you don’t know the future? What if you knew the demands that would be placed on you in the future? What if you knew the sorrows or challenges that might come? It might choke you down. But in Christ, we can have confidence, no matter what the day, month, or year brings.
Adrian Rogers
11/17/2024It is impossible to practice godliness without a constant, consistent, and balanced intake of the Word of God in our lives.
Jerry Bridges
11/16/2024As we live as ambassadors for Jesus, may we be careful to let the good news ring out in all our dealings—family, business, and more. When by God’s power and grace we reveal His love to others, we honor Him and love our neighbors well.
Marvin Williams
11/15/2024If you are succeeding without suffering, it is because others before you have suffered; if you are suffering without succeeding, it is that others after you may succeed.
Edward Judson
11/14/2024God has never had anything but sinners to work with. It is an insult to God to say we cannot have revival.
Adrian Rogers
11/13/2024God has given us the privilege of calling on Him for all we need— what’s more, He’s promised to respond. He also encourages us to petition Him on behalf of others. And Scripture tells us that the prayers of a righteous person can accomplish much (James 5:16). To pray powerfully, we must first accept God’s offer of salvation. Before redemption, we were unrighteous people under His judgment. But through faith in Jesus, we are made new and declared holy. Second, we must align our prayers with His will.
Charles Stanley
11/12/2024If you’re doing things for Jesus, that’s superficial, but if Jesus is doing something through you, it is supernatural.
Adrian Rogers
11/11/2024If impatience tempts you to jump ahead of the Lord’s timing, you risk stepping outside of His will and missing His blessings. But by waiting until He gives clear direction, you will walk in His peace with certainty.
Charles Stanley
11/10/2024All of the garnered wisdom of the ages is only a scratch on the surface of man’s search for the knowledge of the universe. For the most part, God retains His secrets, and man standing on his intellectual tiptoes can comprehend only a small fraction of the Lord’s doings.
Billy Graham
11/8/2024Worshipping God with other believers is a privilege provided by Christ—not another duty to perform.
Charles Stanley
11/7/2024God doesn’t need anything from you, but He desires your loving devotion and intimate fellowship. Ask yourself, Is this what I want, too? If your answer is yes, are you willing to make the necessary commitment? Seeking the Lord cannot be something you hurry through or approach casually. It will cost you time and effort, but the rewards are worth any sacrifice.
Charles Stanley
11/6/2024Nothing is as useless as a pair of gloves without hands. They may be made for either high fashion or hard work. But they are limp and idle without a pair of hands. Their very existence is pointless. But once fingers fill the fabric and a hand stuffs itself into the material, the glove can do anything that a hand can do. It can swing hammers, grip railings, open doors, and point out dangers or delights. We are the gloves of God in this world, but we’re useless unless we are filled with Him. We don’t even have the strength to lift ourselves up. But when we are pervaded and permeated with His Spirit, we operate in His power, not our own.
David Jeremiah
10/21/2024As blood-bought, Bible-believing followers of Christ, we have one simple commission: go! God has commanded us to go into all the world and preach the Good News to all the world. When Jesus redeemed us, we were drafted into the army of the Living God. We are united under His banner and have received our marching orders.
John Hagee
10/20/2024God never promised to remove temptation from us, for even Christ was subject to it. The Bible says that “He was tested in all things, like as we, yet without sin.” There is no good reason why you should seek to escape, for such times of testing have beneficial effects. There is a sense of achievement and assurance that results from victory over temptation that cannot come to us otherwise.
Billy Graham
10/19/2024When your one goal and aim is to glorify Jesus above everything else; when He’s more precious to you than silver, more costly than gold; and when you want to adore Him, the Holy Spirit of God within you will join you and praise will come up out of you. When you become Spirit filled, you cannot help but worship.
Adrian Rogers
10/18/2024Though God’s strength is everlasting, He knows that we’ll inevitably have days when we’re physically and emotionally consumed. But when we look to God for our strength instead of trying to sprint through life’s challenges alone, He’ll restore and renew us and give us the resolve to press on in faith.
Kimya Loder
10/17/2024Cast out the temptation to move from loneliness to self-pity. Use your lonely feelings to push you toward someone lonelier than you are. The God who blesses you will make you a blessing! There’s no better place to discover the healthiest possible response to loneliness than the Word of God.
Ruth Graham
10/16/2024What God has written he has written not for our opinion but for our obedience.
John Blanchard
10/15/2024When we learn to take His name in victory, we’ll certainly be afraid to take His name in vanity.
Adrian Rogers
10/14/2024We do not need truth that makes us comfortable; we need God’s Truth that makes a difference!
John Hagee
10/13/2024You will never be free from discouragement and despondency until you have been tuned to God. Christ is the wellspring of happiness. He is the fountainhead of joy. Here is the Christian’s secret of joy.
Billy Graham
10/12/2024God has chosen us to be the light of the world, to be the salt of the earth, right here and right now. He calls us to be blameless and harmless in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, to shine like the stars in the sky. We are the seasoning that brings out the God-flavor in this world, that points others to Him.
John Hagee
10/11/2024Discouragement is the temptation to evaluate your momentary circumstances apart from the overarching plan of God for your life. God is a God of encouragement. As soon as you become discouraged, cry out to Him in prayer and ask for His help. God wants to hear your prayers, even when discouraged. He will answer and bring encouragement to your heart.
David Jeremiah
10/10/2024We live in a world that is both material and spiritual. On the material side, we access our world through our five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. It is no wonder the apostle John warned about “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”—“all that is in the world” (1 John 2:16). It is easy to be enticed by the things of this world, to think they will bless our life. But the Bible says that God’s blessings are both material and spiritual. He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, redeems us from destruction, loves us, shows compassion to us, satisfies our life with good things, and renews our youth (Psalm 103:3-5). The world cannot offer anything to compare with the dual dimensions of God’s blessings—spiritual and material. When we are tempted to seek blessing and contentment in the things of this world, we need to look to God’s promised blessings.
David Jeremiah
10/9/2024You are active as a prayer warrior the moment you put words to your heartfelt feelings and talk to God about them. Your heart will be deployed to wherever God sends you in prayer.
Stormie Omartian
10/8/2024He is Jehovah Shammah – the Lord Who is there. He is there to catch our tears when our hearts are broken. He walks beside us to the grave of a loved one. His hand is on our shoulder when the doctor pronounces a dire diagnosis. He will never leave. To us, God gave His Son now and forever.
John Hagee
10/7/2024Often God’s blessings result from our compliance with seemingly insignificant requests. If we refuse His prompting to perform minor actions, what reason have we given Him to trust us with a more important responsibility?
Charles Stanley
10/6/2024God, the Artist, is in no hurry. In fact, our conformity to Christ is a lifelong process, being completed when we see Him face-to-face. Be patient! You are a work in process.
David Jeremiah
10/5/2024If we want to see change, we need to talk to the One who can change it. The only One who has the ability to change the direction of this nation is not running on a party ticket. The only One who has the ability to fix what is broken in your world is the One who created it. And the only way to speak to Him is when you pray.
John Hagee
10/4/2024You may have cursed Him, you may have mocked Him, you may have ignored Him, but one day I can promise you on the authority of the Word of God that you are going to meet Jesus Christ. He cannot be deceived. He cannot be discredited. He cannot be disputed. His voice is like the sound of many waters. When He speaks, it’s like a hundred cascading waterfalls. Can you imagine somebody standing and arguing with Niagara Falls?
Adrian Rogers
10/3/2024To have God speak to the heart is a majestic experience, an experience that people may miss if they monopolize the conversation and never pause to hear God’s responses.
Charles Stanley
10/2/2024Responsibility for freedom begins and ends with us…Choosing to be responsible is a personal choice…If we do not choose well, we forfeit liberty…Choose this day whom you will serve…Choose to submit your life to Christ, the One Who bought and paid for it…Bow your knee to the only One worthy…Rise to fight for those who have not grasped the freedom available to all…Stand…Speak…Freedom is the result of sacrifice!!!
John Hagee
10/1/2024No man is ever ready to live until he is no longer afraid to die.
Adrian Rogers
9/30/2024When we find it challenging to forgive, may we consider the grace that God extends to us each day. No matter how many times we fall short, His compassion never fails (Lamentations 3:22). God can help us remove bitterness from our hearts, so we’re free to remain hopeful and receptive to His love.
Kimya Loder
9/29/2024Our spiritual life can become plagued by drought. When our time in God’s Word and in prayer diminishes, our life produces less fruit. But we don’t need to wait for it to rain before we see an increase in fruit. When our life seems spiritually dry, we should return to the basics. Douse our mind in God’s Word. Refresh our soul with time in prayerful solitude. Water our heart through fellowship with other believers. As we do this, we will once again bear spiritual fruit. Our words, actions, and character will reflect Christ and point others to Him. Walk worthy of the Lord, bearing spiritual fruit for Him.
David Jeremiah
9/28/2024God never asked me to be successful. God asked me to be obedient.
Mother Teresa
9/27/2024Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength—carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.
Corrie ten Boom
9/26/2024The secret of happiness is not to do what you like to do, but to learn to like what you have to do.
King George V
9/25/2024For someone in your life right now, you are God’s Plan A. Jesus is counting on you to listen to His voice, to obey His prompting, and to reach out to meet the need. He created you for exactly this moment in history, to perform this good work that He ordained, and to be the answer to someone else’s prayer.
John Hagee
9/24/2024Hope is the anticipation of wonderful future events. The details of prophecy may seem daunting, but the basic outlines are pretty simple. Jesus is coming again, and heaven is our destiny. Let’s comfort one another with these truths.
David Jeremiah
9/23/2024A true sacrament is not a mere creed, or ordinance, or form, but it is a life of service to God and to man. The most eloquent prayer is the prayer through hands that heal and bless. The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service. The greatest form of praise is the sound of consecrated feet seeking out the lost and helpless.
Billy Graham
9/22/2024In His sovereignty and goodness God uses our past mistakes and failures to bring glory to Himself. Don’t disqualify yourself from serving your Heavenly Father because of what you have done in the past. Remember: He uses us in spite of us.
David Jeremiah
9/20/2024It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others. (Ephesians 2:10)
Paul The Apostle
9/19/2024Our perspective of progress is nothing like God’s perspective. We measure success when we see what we want. God measures success when we are willing to do what He wants.
John Hagee
9/18/2024Silence in the face of evil is itself evil; God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
9/17/2024A Jesus who never wept could never wipe away my tears.
Charles H. Spurgeon
9/16/2024A true sacrament is not a mere creed, or ordinance, or form, but it is a life of service to God and to man. The most eloquent prayer is the prayer through hands that heal and bless. The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service. The greatest form of praise is the sound of consecrated feet seeking out the lost and helpless.

9/13/2024Often times God demonstrates His faithfulness in adversity by providing for us what we need to survive. He does not change our painful circumstances. He sustains us through them.
Charles Stanley
9/11/2024Christians are either overcome because of their unbelief or overcomers because of their faith.
Warren Wiersbe
9/9/2024If we want to see change, we need to talk to the One who can change it. The only One who has the ability to change the direction of this nation is not running on a party ticket. The only One who has the ability to fix what is broken in your world is the One who created it. And the only way to speak to Him is when you pray.

9/8/2024Your spirit may well be craving quiet but—even more so—it may be yearning to hear the voice of God. Find room for silence in your life so you’ll never miss God’s “gentle whisper”.
Cindy Hess Kasper
9/7/2024God may keep you in the dark so that you’ll keep your eyes on Him. Aren’t you glad you don’t know the future? What if you knew the demands that would be placed on you in the future? What if you knew the sorrows or challenges that might come? It might choke you down. But in Christ, we can have confidence, no matter what the day, month, or year brings.
Adrian Rogers
9/6/2024You can be too big for God to use, but you can never be too small for God to use.
Adrian Rogers
9/4/2024The greatest work that Jesus did was not in the carpenter’s shop, nor even at the marriage feast of Cana where He turned the water into wine. The greatest work that Jesus did was not when He made the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the dumb to speak, nor even the dead to rise. The greatest work that Jesus did was not when He taught as One having authority, or when He scathingly denounced the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. The greatest work that Jesus did was not in the great ethical program He presented to mankind—that program which has become the foundation for Western culture. What, then, was His greatest work? His greatest work was achieved in those three dark hours on Calvary. Christ’s greatest work was His dying for us.
Billy Graham
9/3/2024God does not demand a beautiful vessel for His work, but He does demand a clean one.
R. A. Torrey
9/2/2024We don’t have to know every answer to every question in order to talk about our Savior; we need only tell what Jesus has done for us. The Holy Spirit will do the rest.
Charles Stanley
9/1/2024Satan can’t keep God from answering our prayers, but he will keep us from asking.
Adrian Rogers
8/31/2024Prayer and praise are the two wings of spiritual power. Prayer and praise demonstrate our faith in God. Prayer infuses us with the energy of God, and praise confuses the enemies of God.
Adrian Rogers
8/30/2024Your spirit may well be craving quiet but—even more so—it may be yearning to hear the voice of God. Find room for silence in your life so you’ll never miss God’s “gentle whisper”.

8/28/2024The purpose of faith is to bring us into relationship with God. Faith is not a way that Man’s will is done on Earth; it is the way that God’s will is done in Heaven.

8/24/2024God’s will is that we forgive, just as we were forgiven. But the human tendency is to attach conditions when extending mercy. We think, I will forgive you only if you apologize. Or, You must make restitution before I will let this go. That’s not what our Savior did. Romans 5:8 tells us: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Depending on how much hurt we’ve experienced, we may require time and healing before we can fully forgive. But we are to remember that showing mercy is God’s will. We’re called to pardon those who have caused us pain. Through reliance on God’s Spirit, we can become Christlike and forgive.
Charles Stanley
8/23/2024Early in the twentieth century, for every wife or mother who walked away from her home and responsibilities, six hundred husbands and fathers did so. Just ten years later, after the women’s liberation movement, for each man who did that, two women did the same.

8/19/2024Your spiritual gift is given to profit the entire body. We are to, as the hymn says, “Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen, tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.” That’s why you have a spiritual gift. The gift is designed so that you might be a blessing to your entire church. God wants you to be a blessing to your church and make the church a blessing to your community and your community a blessing to the world.
Adrian Rogers
8/18/2024We assume that getting what we want will make us happy. But contentment doesn’t come from having our own way. Rather, it comes from learning to accept whatever God gives us as His best. He alone sees beneath the surface and gives us what we need for our spiritual well-being.

8/17/2024The Bible points us to a startling truth: Even in the midst of unhappiness we can have joy—an inner peace that comes from knowing God loves us and is ultimately in control. Once we understand this, we know He is with us, and nothing can ever separate us from Christ and His love. Jesus said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11).
Billy Graham
8/14/2024Jerusalem is the shoreline of eternity, the capital city of the final Kingdom, where Jesus Christ will sit on the throne of David. Of that Kingdom there shall be no end, and you and I will reign with Him eternally.

8/7/2024It is often said that Christianity is different from all the world’s religions in one critical regard. All the other religions are man’s attempt to reach God, whereas Christianity consists of God reaching out to man. In religion, man is reaching up to heaven to find God. In Christianity, God is reaching down to earth to find man.
David Jeremiah
8/6/2024We are to forgive so that we may enjoy God’s goodness without feeling the weight of anger burning deep within our hearts. Forgiveness does not mean we recant the fact that what happened to us was wrong. Instead, we roll our burdens onto the Lord and allow Him to carry them for us.

8/4/2024Responsibility for freedom begins and ends with us…Choosing to be responsible is a personal choice…If we do not choose well, we forfeit liberty…Choose this day whom you will serve…Choose to submit your life to Christ, the One Who bought and paid for it…Bow your knee to the only One worthy…Rise to fight for those who have not grasped the freedom available to all…Stand…Speak…Freedom is the result of sacrifice!!!
John Hagee
8/3/2024While we are waiting, God is working. He sees the entire picture and is active behind the scenes, arranging everything according to His will. But perhaps His most important work is the deepening of our relationship with Him as we learn to love and trust Him in the wait.
Charles Stanley
8/2/2024The soul demands as much attention as the body. It demands fellowship and communion with God. It demands worship, quietness, and meditation. Unless the soul is fed and exercised daily, it becomes weak and shriveled. It remains discontented, confused, restless.

John Hagee
7/27/2024For someone in your life right now, you are God’s Plan A. Jesus is counting on you to listen to His voice, to obey His prompting, and to reach out to meet the need. He created you for exactly this moment in history, to perform this good work that He ordained, and to be the answer to someone else’s prayer.
John Hagee
7/26/2024Don’t get the idea that the Christian life is all sunlight and roses without any heartaches. There is tribulation, and Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation.” If you’re going through deep sorrow, trouble, pain, anguish, and disappointment, that doesn’t mean something has gone wrong; it means that the Word of God is true.

7/15/2024Sometimes we may think, I don’t have the spiritual gift of prayer. But of all the spiritual gifts listed in the Bible, prayer isn’t among them. Perhaps this is because God longs for each of us to pray faithfully, so that we may see what only He can do.

7/6/2024The peace that Jesus came to bring was not the peace of appeasement, or the peace of compromise and conformity. It was a spiritual peace. The world doesn’t give peace, for it doesn’t have any peace to give. It fights for peace, it negotiates for peace, it maneuvers for peace, but there is no ultimate peace in the world. But Jesus gives peace to those who put their trust in Him.
Billy Graham
7/5/2024Forgiveness is a full pardon. It’s a fresh start. It’s another chance. It’s a new beginning. It’s a lifting of a heavy burden and the canceling of a debt. It’s what happened that first Easter morning long long ago.

7/2/2024The Christian journey is not for the faint of heart! We contend with the everyday skirmishes of a fallen world, as well as the spiritual powers and principalities of this evil age. We must engage in battle before we can be crowned victors and overcomers.

6/26/2024A harnessed horse contributes much more to life than a wild donkey. Energy out of control is dangerous; energy under control is powerful. God does not discipline us to subdue us, but to condition us for a life of usefulness and blessedness. In His wisdom He knows that an uncontrolled life is an unhappy life, so He puts reins on our wayward souls that they may be directed into the “paths of righteousness.” That is what God seeks to do with us; to tame us, to bring us under proper control, to redirect our energies. He does in the spiritual realm what science does in the physical realm.

6/24/2024Unity is the delight of the saved. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than to be in a church where there’s division. There’s nothing more glorious than to be part of a church in which you have sweet fellowship and oneness of spirit. What a fellowship and what a joy divine!

6/21/2024A true sacrament is not a mere creed, or ordinance, or form, but it is a life of service to God and to man. The most eloquent prayer is the prayer through hands that heal and bless. 5/22/2024We don’t train to earn salvation. Rather, just the opposite: as we realize how truly wondrous our salvation is, it reshapes our priorities, our perspective, and the very things we live for as each of us faithfully runs our own race of faith in God’s strength.

5/20/2024It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills. 5/18/2024Our spiritual life can become plagued by drought.

4/27/2024Many people ask why God does not destroy evil in the world. But God could not destroy evil without destroying freedom. And if God destroyed freedom, God would destroy love. 3/16/2024The story is told that, as Leonardo da Vinci was deeply engrossed in painting “The Lord’s Supper,” he also was deeply embroiled in a feud with a fellow painter. Da Vinci was so enraged that, when he began to paint Judas, he added his enemy’s face to the figure, so all of history would see that man as a traitor. When he moved on to paint the face of Jesus, he could not paint Him satisfactorily. Finally, he realized that his animosity towards his colleague was preventing him from painting Jesus’ face. After seeking out his friend to ask his forgiveness, da Vinci went back to the work and changed Judas’ face. Only then was he able to paint Jesus – the Prince of Peace – and finish the now-famous masterpiece. Forgiveness is an act of the will, a decision to extend grace and mercy in spite of our emotions. In the last moments of His life, as He hung despised on the Cross, Jesus breathed out the words, “Father, forgive them.”
John Hagee
3/15/2024Just as we might deliberately plant and nurture a seed to bear fruit, our faith requires purposeful action. Hearing the Word is the beginning, but living it out is the practice of our Christian walk. When we knowingly apply God’s truths to our life, we become a vessel of His love and grace to those around us. So, as you go about your day, consider ways to purposefully live out your faith. Small acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and moments of prayer can have a profound impact.
Charles Stanley
3/14/2024The secret of happiness is not to do what you like to do, but to learn to like what you have to do.
King George V
3/13/2024To forgive is to set a prisoner free and to discover that the prisoner is you.
Corrie ten Boom
3/12/2024Absolute grace that allows people to sin indefinitely and to still be in the favor of God is not a doctrine found in the Bible. When we confess and forsake our sins, we obtain mercy. Christ makes us new creatures, and He expects to see the change.
John Hagee
3/11/2024As long as we’re alive, it’s not too late to fulfill the Lord’s purposes for us. So if you feel hopeless or think you’ve made too many mistakes to be useful to God, think again. No matter who you are or where you come from, you’re precious in God’s eyes. And His goal is to conform you to the image of His Son and work through you to reveal His glory.
Charles Stanley
3/10/2024Unlike the emotional highs and lows we experience in life, zeal for Christ comes from an ever-expanding relationship with Him. The more we learn about Him, the more precious He becomes and the more His goodness floods our souls and spills out into the world.
Jennifer Benson Schuldt
3/9/2024In situations that seem overwhelming, we can trust that our sovereign Lord knows all, is in control, and lovingly works everything for our good. We can rest confidently, knowing that the unchanging God of all creation is taking care of us.
Charles Stanley
3/8/2024When we come to the end of ourselves, we come to the beginning of God.
Billy Graham
3/7/2024When God gives us light – when creation and conscience speak to the heart of any individual—if we do not glorify God, believe in God, and trust God, then we do not remain static. Instead, we begin to regress, and we lose even the light we have.
Charles Stanley
3/6/2024As believers in Jesus, we’re to be “good-works ready.” Rather than being overwhelmed by what we don’t have and can’t do, let’s think about what we do have and can do as God helps us. In doing so, we get to help others at the point of their needs, and God is honored.
Arthur Jackson
3/5/2024God has freely given us forgiveness, redemption, righteousness, providential care, adoption into His family, and a glorious inheritance in heaven. It’s all ours at salvation, yet there is a misguided notion among some believers that the Lord’s grace to us varies according to our behavior or level of spiritual maturity.
Charles Stanley
3/4/2024A hoarded blessing isn’t enjoyed as richly as a shared one. Using your gift to meet someone else’s need glorifies God by demonstrating His grace at work in your life. Don’t let His generous provisions end with you. Pass them on and discover the joy of a never-ending cycle of blessings.
Charles Stanley
3/3/2024It’s the Lord Jesus who fuels the sun with its power. It’s the Lord Jesus who veils the moon with its beauty. It’s the Lord Jesus who guides the planets. There’s no natural law. It’s the laws of God that nature obeys.
Adrian Rogers
3/2/2024People are not limited by their birthplace, social standing, or past mistakes. They are limited by the size of their hope.
John Hagee
3/1/2024A Christian with the witness in his heart is never at the mercy of a man with an argument in his mouth.
Adrian Rogers
2/29/2024Perhaps, the broken pieces of our hearts are still shattered and scattered because we have not taken the action that God is prompting. We must take an active role in our healing. Faith without action is dead.
John Hagee
2/28/2024Satan loves to see brothers and sisters who cannot get along. The cause of Christ is hurt more by church squabbles and fusses than by false doctrine. This is a perplexing problem that can only be resolved in Christ.
Adrian Rogers
2/27/2024Do we feel unnoticed at times? Are our cries drowned out by people who seem to matter more than us? Our Savior notices those the world doesn’t care to notice. Call to Him for help! While others may pass us by, He’ll stop for us.
Karen Huang
2/26/2024True love is always costly.
Billy Graham
2/25/2024We shouldn’t put elaborate stipulations on our generosity or run down a strict checklist to see if someone is “worthy.” Rather, we should simply give of what we have as the Holy Spirit leads.
Charles Stanley
2/24/2024Our responsibility is not to understand or explain the ways of God; It is to trust Him and believe.
Adrian Rogers
2/23/2024Times of desperation when we feel all alone cause us to cry out to God. What a comfort to know that during those moments and throughout our lives, He hears us, provides for us, and stays near to us.
Anne Cetas
2/22/2024You never so touch the ocean of God’s love as when you forgive and love your enemies.
Corrie ten Boom
2/21/2024God is not only perfect in His wisdom but also in His timing. God may not always respond to our prayers when we’d like Him to, but He’s always working out His wise purposes. We can take heart that when He does answer, it will be right and good and beautiful.
Bill Crowder
2/20/2024God never wastes anything…He often calls us to use our pain to minister to others.
Charles Stanley
2/19/2024It is critical for believers to trust in the inerrancy of the Scriptures. A flawed book could only be the product of man’s hand, but the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. His Spirit did the talking, no matter whose hand wrote the message.
Charles Stanley
2/18/2024As we seek to know more about God and the wonderful world He made, we’ll discover how He continues perfectly managing time and all He created. God can be trusted with every unknown and newly discovered thing in our lives too. All creation remains secure in God’s loving hands.
Xochitl Dixon
2/17/2024Personal weakness and helplessness don’t mean defeat. When surrendered to God in trust, they become tools for Him to work in and through circumstances.
Karen Huang
2/16/2024Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John The Apostle
2/15/2024We’re not saved by good works. We’re not saved by joining a church, giving our money, getting baptized, obeying the Ten Commandments, or living right. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous; it is a gift for the guilty.
Adrian Rogers
2/14/2024Faith is not a leap in the dark. It is a step into the light that God gives you.
Adrian Rogers
2/13/2024When we put our faith in faith, we simply have positive thinking, but when we put our faith in Jesus, we have salvation.
Adrian Rogers
2/12/2024We must be redeemed, we must be made right with God before we can become sensitive to the needs of others. Divine love, like a reflected sunbeam, shines down before it radiates out. Unless our hearts are conditioned by the Holy Spirit to receive and reflect the warmth of God’s compassion, we cannot love our fellowmen as we ought.
Billy Graham
2/11/2024While there’s added beauty when God’s faithfulness is seen over a long lifetime, we don’t have to wait to recount His care in our lives. When we recognize that it’s not our own abilities that carry us through life but the faithful care of a loving Father, we’re moved to gratitude and praise.
Lisa M. Samra
2/10/2024God has more for us tomorrow than He has today. The triumphs of yesterday are wonderful reminders of what the Lord did in a past season, but they should not be where we hang our hopes and expectations. We should carry those memories into the future, believing that He can do it all again.
John Hagee
2/9/2024When we come to Jesus, He doesn’t abbreviate our accountability to God. He gives peace to our restless souls by providing us a new and less burdensome way to live in Him. He gives us true rest.
Marvin Williams
2/8/2024We must never minimize the suffering of another. Scripture’s mandate to us is, “Weep with them that weep.” (Romans 12:15)
Billy Graham
2/7/2024Prayer is not getting God to do your will; prayer is getting you ready to do His will.
John Hagee
2/6/2024Like a lighthouse whose beam pierces the night, God’s presence offers reassurance in our life. When we earnestly seek Him, pouring out our fears and worries, He answers with a love that transcends our understanding. In the warmth of His compassion, we find strength to face our fears head-on, knowing we are not alone on a dark sea. God’s deliverance doesn’t mean our circumstances will change. Instead, it offers a transformative inner peace that steadies our mind and heart. It empowers us to walk through life’s challenges with the realization that our faith in Him is stronger than the grip of fear.
Charles Stanley
2/5/2024Instead of always trying to look for “signs” in certain situations, let’s look to God and His truth for wisdom and guidance to discern what lies before us. He will help us do what’s right in His eyes.
Leslie Koh
2/4/2024A listening ear to ease a burden, or a gentle word of encouragement—these simple acts can transform hearts and deepen connections. Let us not forget that we are called to love others as God loves us. His love is unconditional, extravagant, and all-encompassing.
Charles Stanley
2/3/2024You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
C. S. Lewis
2/2/2024Let us heed Christ’s call to address conflicts directly rather than allow them to fester. Our goal isn’t to win an argument but to win back our brother or sister. It’s an opportunity to exhibit love and grace, listen with empathy, offer forgiveness, and acknowledge our own imperfections as we extend understanding to others.
Charles Stanley
2/1/2024There is nothing our Creator God does that is not intended to bring us closer to Him. Why? Because His purpose in making humans was to make someone to love. We exist because He wanted to love us and be loved by us.

1/31/2024“Rejoice always.” Is the shortest verse in the Bible, but it deals with the longest time: always. This is the joy Jesus said will remain. It’s not happiness. It’s joy! You’re not supposed to be happy all the time.
Adrian Rogers
1/30/2024We never know when we’ll have an opportunity to say a word for the Lord or to present the Gospel. When God leads you to share Christ with someone, obey immediately. He will give you the words you need. God can help you plant a seed in someone’s heart, even if you don’t immediately see the results. Let’s not miss any opportunities!
David JeremiahSuccess in witnessing is simply taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God.
Bill Bright
1/29/2024We don’t train to earn salvation. Rather, just the opposite: as we realize how truly wondrous our salvation is, it reshapes our priorities, our perspective, and the very things we live for as each of us faithfully runs our own race of faith in God’s strength.
Adam Holz
1/28/2024Today is the most important day of your life. If you live in the past, there is no hope for the future; if you live in the future, there is no hope for today. Tomorrow may never come, the past is a matter of record, but today lies in your grasp.
Harold Sala
1/27/2024Too often we look around at the talents and abilities of others and wish to be more like someone else. But we have been perfectly designed for God’s purposes, and He makes no mistakes. Know this: The Master is pleased with who you are, for you are “awesomely and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
Charles Stanley
1/26/2024Serving God in order to gain favor or ensure that He continues to bless you diminishes the beauty of His grace. You can do nothing to deserve His kindness! He pours it upon believers freely. So receive it, beloved, and live free in the knowledge that while your efforts are welcomed and cherished by God, grace is a gift already given.
Charles Stanley
1/25/2024God’s desire to forgive and restore is always greater than our capacity to fail.
Charles Stanley
1/24/2024If you please God, it doesn’t matter whom you displease. And if you displease God, it really doesn’t matter whom you please.
Adrian Rogers
1/23/2024God’s grace is abundant, but it has come at a cost. It is a gift to be treasured, not squandered.

1/22/2024A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.
Billy Graham
1/21/2024Gradually, gently, little by little, God heals our hearts to receive His love. Drop by drop, His grace helps us surrender our fears. Drop by drop, His grace reaches our hearts until we find ourselves experiencing showers of His abundant beauty and love.
Monica La Rose
1/20/2024Most people consider prayer to be like a drive-through window. It’s where they pull up and don’t have time to stay, but they want to make sure their order gets in and they get just what they want before they rush away. They pull up to heaven, and God says, “Welcome to McHeaven. May I take your order, please?” As sad as that sounds, that’s what a lot of people think about prayer.
John Hagee
1/19/2024Children don’t make a rich man poor; they make a poor man rich. The rich man can’t take his money to Heaven, but I’m taking my kids to Heaven. I’m taking my grandkids too. We’re going to Heaven. This is our wealth.
Adrian Rogers
1/18/2024Every avenue of service we encounter may look different, but one thing’s the same: there’s great joy in serving. The purpose behind acts of service isn’t to bring praise to the ones performing them, but to lovingly serve others while directing all praise to our humble, self-sacrificing God.
Cindy Hess Kasper
1/17/2024As we begin each new day, possibilities stretch before us, leading to scores of decisions. Taking the time to ask God to guide us will influence the choices we make. By the power of the Spirit, we can choose to follow Him every day.
Bill Crowder
1/16/2024Our work matters to God and so does our attitude while we do it. Each day we can look at our work as a burden or we can look at it as an opportunity to serve God and change the lives of others.
J. Vernon McGee
1/15/2024God is especially close to us when we are lying on a sickbed. God will make the bed soft and will freshen it with His presence and with His tender care. He makes the bed comfortable and wipes away our tears. He ministers to us with special tenderness at such a time and reveals His great love for us. Tell me why the gardener trims and prunes his rosebushes, sometimes cutting away productive branches, and I will tell you why God’s people are afflicted. God’s hand never slips. He never makes a mistake. His every move is for our own good and for our ultimate good. Oftentimes He must deform us and mutilate our own image. Deformity sometimes precedes conformity.
Billy Graham
1/14/2024Peace—this is the gift for all who fix their gaze on God. And His peace provides far more than only a technique for holding our worst thoughts at bay. For those who will surrender their future, their hopes, and their worries, the Spirit makes an entirely new way of life possible.
Winn Collier
1/13/2024The circumstances and events that we see as setbacks are oftentimes the very things that launch us into periods of intense spiritual growth.
Charles Stanley
1/12/2024Friend, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. And what one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can’t give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody. And when half of the people get the idea they don’t have to work because the other half’s going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebody’s going to get what I work for. That, dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
Adrian Rogers
1/11/2024You drive the enemy out of your life by speaking the Word. When he tries to come into your finances, you drive him out by saying, “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.” When he comes against your household, you say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” When he comes against your marriage, you declare, “What God has brought together, let no man put asunder.” When he comes against your physical body, you say, “By His stripes, I am healed.” When he comes against your children, you declare, “No weapon formed against them will prosper.” You have power to drive the enemy out of your life in Jesus’ name!
John Hagee
1/10/2024The main thing to avoid being a casualty is simply this: to have a kind of intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ whereby you’re able to hear God speak to your heart, you’re sensitive to what He’s saying to you to do, and that you’re willing to be obedient to Him.
Charles Stanley
1/9/2024Jesus is the ultimate expression of God’s restorative love, giving peace and rest to any who turn to Him. From the manger to the cross to the empty tomb, He’s the personification of God’s desire to call a wayward world to Himself.
James Banks
1/8/2024Religion itself is not the Gospel. The source of the Gospel is God. The subject of the Gospel is Jesus. The supply of the Gospel is grace.
Adrian Rogers
1/7/2024You may serve the Lord as a godly parent, as an employee who shares the gospel with coworkers, or as a friend who listens to people who are hurting. There is no restriction on what God can do with a willing heart. The strength of His Spirit overcomes human limitations. Don’t have enough courage? God can fix that. Don’t have the right skills? God can fix that too.
Charles Stanley
1/6/2024It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills. It is better to be hated for telling the truth than to be loved for telling a lie. It is better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with a multitude. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth than to temporarily succeed with a lie. There is only one Gospel.
Adrian Rogers
1/5/2024Do not waste time bothering whether you love your neighbor; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him.
C. S. Lewis
1/4/2024When trouble brews, the Lord encourages us to call on Him. Asking for help is not a shameful thing! Shouting out to God is a sacred privilege, a divine right. Independent of God, we will never be big enough, strong enough, or capable enough to meet the fiery darts that the adversary hurls our way. When we cry out to Him, we reach out to the only One capable of the impossible. We will do great and mighty things in His name.
John Hagee
1/3/2024Each time we praise God for the whisper of a rainbow splashed across a clouded, gray sky or the glistening waves of the ocean crashing against a rocky shore, we can proclaim His “unfailing love” and presence as we “put our hope” in Him.
Xochitl Dixon
1/2/2024God did not make you to be a reservoir of facts—He meant for you to be a channel of truth. If you’re growing in knowledge but not growing in grace, you’re going to be dangerous. I’ve met those people. They can split a theological hair into nine separate sections, but they’re not growing in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Adrian Rogers
