2. Satan & The Original Sin

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
Ephesians 6:11-14
Spirit World Geography.
3rd Heaven – God’s throne, Angel’s home – Paradise where believers go when they die now.
2nd Heaven – Stars & Planets.
1st Heaven – Birds & Clouds.
Earth – Satan & his demons the fallen angels. The Holy Spirit resides here until The Rapture.
Underworld – Sheol in Old Testament – Hades in New Testament.
Paradise – Where Lazarus was in Abraham’s bosom. Where Old Testament Saints went at death. Where Jesus went when He died and led Captivity Captive to Paradise in Heaven.
Hell – Where all lost souls go when they die until cast into the Lake Of Fire. Not created by Satan for his home but by God for Satan and his angels.
Tartarus – Where the Spirits In Prison are now until they are cast into the Lake Of Fire. Not for Satan’s fallen angels. For Spirits of The sons of God who chose wives of the daughters of men.
Bottomless Pit – Reserved for Satan when he is to be bound in chains for the 1000 year reign of Christ. Where demons are exorcised to.
Lake Of Fire – Reserved for the antichrist and false prophet to be cast there at the second coming of Christ. Reserved for Satan at the end of the millennium after being loosed for a season from the Bottomless Pit. Reserved for all lost souls at the White Throne Of Judgement.
Why study topics such as The Spirit World?
- Know our enemy.
- Know how powerless we are.
God is a triune – The greatest mystery of all time.
- God The Father.
- God The Son.
- God The Holy Spirit.
Scripture clearly teaches the distinct personalities of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Clarence Larkin likens the Trinity to the Sun which is not the sun without its 3 parts:
- Heat – Not seen but felt – Like The Father who is love.
- Light – Not felt but seen – Like The Son Jesus who was seen as Immanuel (God with us).
- Chemical Action – Not seen or felt but makes plants grow – Like The Holy Spirit that gives life & power and changes our heart.
All three were present at the Baptism of Jesus.
Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Mat 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water (He had been submerged – not necessarily that he shot straight up like a missle): and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: (The Holy Spirit)
Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven (God the Father), saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Man is also a Triune – made in the image of God.
- Body formed by the creative energy of God out of the dust of the earth. A vessel for our organs, soul, spirit.
- Soul – Mind, will, emotions. The seat of the senses, desires, affections, appetites, we have in common with other animals such as love, hatred, anger.
- Spirit – The intellectual or higher nature of man. The source of life to the body and soul. The seat of reason, of conscience, and of responsibility. The source of our faith, hope, reverence. How we communicate prayer & worship to God. Because man is spirit he is capable of God-consciousness, and of communication with God.
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Death.
Separation of the spirit & soul from the body. The body goes to the grave but the unsaved spirit & soul goes to Hell (Hades). At The Great White Throne Judgement it goes to The Lake Of Fire for eternity.
The Saved spirit & soul goes to Paradise in Heaven. At The Rapture it comes with Jesus in the air to receive its resurrected body and then it remains in the 3rd Heaven until the 2nd coming when all saints come back with Jesus to rule and reign during the millenium. It is protected in Heaven during reshaping of the Earth by fire and then Spends eternity in New Jerusalem that comes down from Heaven to The New Earth after it is reshaped by fire.
Sons Of God.
Angels were created by God before the foundations of the earth. Adam was created by God as the first creature. We were born of man descended from Adam & Eve.
The Sons of God in the Old Testament always means angels or Adam – Brought into existence by a creative act of God.
The Sons of God in the New Testament refers to man only after being reborn.
The Sons of Man refers to those born of a woman. Jesus refers to himself as The Son Of Man because he was born from the womb of Mary.
If everything was made by God, how could God create Satan, sin, and evil?
Let’s begin at the beginning – not in Genesis but in John.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended (apprehended) it not.
Definition – A “word” is that by which we communicate our will; by which we convey our thoughts; or by which we issue commands, the medium of communication with others.
The Son of God may be called “the Word,” because he is the medium by which God communicates His will and issues His commandments.
Jesus created this world with us in it and gave light to us.
God made man and angels with free-will.
Satan was not Satan at first – he was Lucifer the angel – The Guardian Of The Throne Of God.
God made angels before the earth – God told Job so. The book of Job addresses why God lets the righteous suffer when sinners prosper.
We pick up the story where Job has lost his worldly wealth and physical health Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar have come to comfort Job but end up judging Him. Each in turn has expounded on why God judged Job and how he must have sinned greatly. Job has replied to each and professed he does not know what he could have done to sin so greatly. Job has pleaded to God to help him understand why God would do such a thing to him. God has now about had enough of these men questioning His Heavenly wisdom with their limited worldly knowledge.
Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Some think that when this world was created and fit for habitation that Satan (Lucifer the angel) was placed in charge of it, and it was then, as the book of Isaiah declares:
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation (the place appointed by God, where he would present himself – The Temple – Like the antiChrist), in the sides of the north: (Mt. Moriah to the north of Zion where the temple was).
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
It was because of this presumptuous act that the Pre-Adamite World described in Genesis became a chaos and without form and void.
Satan is still waging war and trying to regain his control of the world.
When Satan became unwilling to rule the Original Earth as a subordinate to God, and tried to rule it independent of God, he put his own will in opposition to the Will Of God and committed treason.
Anything that opposes the will of God is sin – Satan’s treason was “The Original Sin”.
Lucifer (Son Of The Morning) became Satan (Adversary) when he opposed the will of God. To justify himself he accused God and also became known as the Devil (Accuser).
This answers the question “Why did God make the devil?” – God didn’t make him, Satan made himself – Angels had free-will like man and Satan made his choice.
Where is Satan really at now?
Most people believe Satan and his angels are imprisoned in Hell – Not so.
Satan and his angels are at liberty in this world and have access to Heaven
Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Satan and his angels are at liberty in this world and Heaven until the middle of the tribulation when Satan is finally cast to Earth for good.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (3 1/2 years).
Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Since his fall, Satan always has and always will continue to be our adversary.

- It is Satan that continues to destroy the Church with same-sex marraige and other people-pleasing, feel good, nonChristian nonsense policy towards tolerance.
Satan’s rampage on Earth will temporarily end during the millennium but will not finally end until after the millenium.
At the end of the 7 year Tribulation, The AntiChrist and False Prophet will be cast into the Lake Of Fire after defeat at The Battle Of Armageddon.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Satan will be chained during the millenium.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
At the end of the Millenium, Satan is finally judged and thrown into The Lake Of Fire.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And then…The Great White Throne.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
And then…A new Heaven and New Earth.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
